Amyema gibberula var. tatei is a hemiparasite favouring Hakea recurva as a host in Westonia Common. In this photo, succulent leaves of pigface can be seen at the base, then the mistletoe Amyema leaves which are quite bright green and have white and pinkish woolly flowers amongst them. The more bluish green and longer leaves of the Hakea recurva are more common towards the top of the photo. It is much more difficult to detect the mistletoe when it is not in flower.
