Amyema gibberula var. tatei is a member of the mistletoe family. It is a hemiparasite in that its roots are in another plant from which it draws water and some nutrients, but it has green leaves and makes its own food. In Westonia Common, the host plant is Hakea recurva which is quite common at Boodalin Soak.
