FELTED DAMPIERA. Dampiera tomentosa is a very hairy plant and the species name is derived from the Latin for dense matted hairs. The plant is similar to Dampiera luteiflora but the flower is quite different in colour and shape.
Most collections of this species have been made in Westonia and the surrounding shires. It has a scattered and comparatively small distribution.
