GIMLET. Eucalyptus salubris is a mallee or tree to 15 m high. It has smooth bark, often coarsely fluted (hence the name gimlet). The bark is often bright coppery brown in Autumn and changes with the seasons to greyish and greenish. The species occurs through the wheatbelt from Canna to south of Ravensthorpe and east into the adjacent goldfields.
